Pumpkin Ale

We found a use for our pie pumpkins today. Ale!  We started a batch of Pumpkin ale based off of a American Amber Ale.  We got the recipe from Do Your Brew.  We happend to be in the north part of the Denver area for a soon to be newphew’s birthday party and we decided to try to find something to do with our pumpkins.  The little pumpkin was 2 pounds and smelled quite tasty as we baked it for the beer.  This one is a little darker than our other Amber Ale recipe.  It’s also quite clearer because we used bags for the hops and grains instead of just for the grains.
